Hi, Can anyone help me identify the capacitor for the bluray drive fuse drive is dead wont take disk nothing? It's PS5 EDM-033 board.
Any help would be appreciated.

Note: I have seen where if the blueray drive cable is not square ( a broken tab at one end or the other ) the drive may act dead.

You may want to check your ribbon cable and make sure it is aligned and no broken tabs.

Did you ever get this figured out? I think I'm trying to get the value for the same capacitor -- the 0201 cap between F5402 and the drive connector.

In case anyone has an EDM-033 open at some point they can check on -- this is the location of the cap, on this poor mangled PS5 I'm trying to resuscitate:

(the cap, and fuse F5402, have already been pulled off so I could verify both failed open.)

The mirror-image cap on the left side, behind F5401, reads around 480uF in-circuit -- which is almost certainly wrong, but I wasn't about to pull it to get its value when it's likely it wouldn't be the same anyway; at least, I would be a little surprised if both sides used the same cap value when one is at 5V and the other at 12V. But hey, what do I know 😅

So yeah, if anyone ends up with an 033 (or 03x probably) on their bench and can get the value of that cap (or at least an in-circuit measurement; I'll make it work from there!), I'd really appreciate it.
