ROM Hack can't get mario kart ds beta reloaded to patch (xdelta gui)

hello. recently,I have been trying to get the mario kart ds beta reloaded to patch and i tried to use xdelta gui to patch it,but when i try to patch it i get the error:xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT. i tried to update the xdelta in the folder but it still doesn't work. can somebody help me? thanks.
