I'm trying to flash it using TWRP, but when it asks which partition to flash it to, my only options are Boot and Recovery. Vendor is not there (it is mounted, though).
when I try flashing it using fastboot, I get this:
Code:
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
Invalid sparse file format at header magi
sending sparse 'vendor' (311613 KB)...
OKAY [ 7.933s]
writing 'vendor'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 7.940s

You need to forcefully flash it with Flash tool via PC. (It seems to have broken/invalid header.)
I actually stumbled upon this and only that fixed it for me.

You could always try it from Android itself if you can boot into it. Also TWRP never had option for Vendor or I'm missing something? Atleast not on MTK devices.

is there a universal tool, or should I find one exclusive to Huawei devices?

Hardbrick. In this case, it's better to just format it and reflash whole OS.
Find one for Huawei's, overally a universal Huawei flasher should exist.

Hi there I have the same problem. I was trying to upgrade my p10 plus ee UK. I accidentally eras vendor, now I'm trying to flash it again but getting this error.
