Have a modded switch, updated to 13.1.0 firmware, and now I can't enter RCM. Using a jig, but still nothing, it boots into the stock. Holding power/volume doesn't work. Just seems to be unmoved by the pleas of the RCM jig. Help?

It's the exact same problem as this post where BDSwitch decided not to post the solution. (could not post as a link because spam protection) /threads/cant-enter-rcm-aftee-updating-to-latest-firmware.603241/

There are so many things why you don't enter up in RCM mode :
I presume you also updated Atmosphere/Hekate?
Inspect that the pins of the Joycon on the look all right and are not bend/broken.
I presume you're pressing the 'vol down' button?
If you are using a USB cable, check that the cable is fine (or that it is not a charge-only cable).
If you are using a PC see if TegraRCMGUI outputs some error or debug information.
If you are using Rekado on Android, make sure that your USB port is in OTG mode.
If you're using a standalone injector, then check if it is charged enough as most of them run on batteries.
Also check if you have the latest payload from Atmosphere. Likely you can't use the old payload that was used with your previous CFW (but you should see an error though).
One unlikely possibility is that you might boot into OFW automatically due to some incorrect settings in your CFW config files.

I did.
Inspect that the pins of the Joycon on the look all right and are not bend/broken.
Pins are all good and ribbon cable is connected properly in the switch itself. No trouble when pairing with a controller either.

Indeed. Neither volume up nor down make a difference.

If you are using a USB cable, check that the cable is fine (or that it is not a charge-only cable)

Using the same USB cable and setup that worked last week did not help. Neither changing where I plugged it in nor changing the cable seems to make a difference. Though, I have not tried it on my SO's computer because I did not think that would make a difference since the issue was getting it to start in RCM, not getting it recognized as being in RCM.

But, restarting while connected to her computer where I installed only TegraRcmGUI and the driver seems to have fixed it somehow. Everything working as anticipated on my computer now too. So weird.

Thanks for helping troubleshoot, I appreciate it.

Try using something other than your jig to enter RCM.

That Dell data breach is worse than people probably realize....

When I worked for Dell we had access to data about military contracts and addresses for high ranking people.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
