Hacking Can't download eshop (red X)

Just bough a bunch of new VC to Dump (for backup purposes) and never had a problem before. This time the Red X and update is blocking my downloads.

I rebooted a few times and tried it to no avail.

Did Nintendo change something? Any suggestions on how to get it to work?

I'm using OpenDNS b/c I have a static IP. Anyway pedro702 gave me the solution for anyone stuck with this:

dont reboot hard shut down, press your wiiu power button continuasly until it powers off, then when turning it on it will say you hard shutted down your wiiu you press ok and the downloads should start.

No, the "System Update" you see in the download log with a red X on it does NOT mean there is a new update

Incase you were wondering.

You need to remove your DNS settings if they block nintendo.
