Misc Can't connect to my internet on Wii

EDIT: been solved. Just needed to move my wii closer to the router
When I try to connect it doesnt show up

which security are you using? I can't recall if the wii has wpa-2, which is probably the most common security used today. I think it may have wpa-2 aes, but I'm not sure.

edit: looks like it can with max wpa-2 aes.

I get those confused with psp sometimes. I have my psp going through a hotspot on my phone or my old phone (gotta do it on my new phone), since it doesn't allow for the security I'm using. I'm not sure if that system allows wpa-2.

if it's aes, it should work. try a hot spot with your phone.

iirc, the psp will detect other routers with security it doesn't understand, but it will be grey in the selection box instead of white. I don't recall what the wii does. it may not even show up.

Try setting your router to Wireless B to see if it shows up. Some routers have compatible mode of some sort that you can set to allow older Wifi devices to connect correctly.
