which security are you using? I can't recall if the wii has wpa-2, which is probably the most common security used today. I think it may have wpa-2 aes, but I'm not sure.

edit: looks like it can with max wpa-2 aes.

I get those confused with psp sometimes. I have my psp going through a hotspot on my phone or my old phone (gotta do it on my new phone), since it doesn't allow for the security I'm using. I'm not sure if that system allows wpa-2.

Try setting your router to Wireless B to see if it shows up. Some routers have compatible mode of some sort that you can set to allow older Wifi devices to connect correctly.
