Can't access wiimmfi.de website and servers without VPN

Hey guys, recently I moved into another house and I had to change my internet provider.
With the old one, I could access wiimmfi's services with no problem.
But with the new provider I can't access it's website or play games online on my Wii.
If I hotspot my phone's internet to the Wii or PC, I can play games online without problem and can access the website.
When connected to my internet's provider router, the only way I could connect to wiimmfi.de was using a VPN.
Could this be related to TCP/UDP ports or something like that?
I already called my internet provider but they keep saying that everything is working fine and the problem is with the website, not with their services.

its gonna be hard to get assistance in related to your issue. unfortunately, wiimmfi is full of dictators that only help certain people. I've known 3 people now that cant connect to wiimmfi. (only with a VPN like in your case). Wiimmfi is full of connectivity and stability issues; starting with the website that has been having issues for months now.. its all CTGP to them.( which sucks; Dolphin Emulator is the way to go. CTGP blows LOL). that's were all the attention goes to, instead of working on fixing the website and in-game connectivity issues..

yes i get that "CTGP-D" what even is that lol... anywho, what im trying to point out is that people have connectivity issues due to the lack of maintenance on the wiimmfi servers. This was not an issue in early days of wiimmfi. The wiimmfi page is a great example, battle matchmaking is broken 50% of the time, OP having issues when changed service providers and much more.

Try changing the DNS setting on your router to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 and see if it makes a difference

Can always try altwfc instead.
