Hi,

My NINTENDO SWITCH is on 3.0.0 firmware. I want to install original game Super Mario Odyssey from eShop and because of that I must sign in to nintendo account to download game. The problem is when I try to log in to my account the system won't let me in until I update my console. But I don't wan't update my console to new firmware version. Can I somehow download my original game from eshop without updating firmware?

thx in advance

Until homebrew appears and a flaw that allowed ctr-httpwn to exist is found on the Switch, no, you have no way of bypassing the update nag or downloading Odyssey. Besides, Odyssey needs 3.0.1 to play anyway, so even if you had a physical copy you wouldn't be able to play it. So, either wait until some homebrew shows up that will allow to bypass it, or update and enjoy Mario.

Come on op, basic Google would of been able to tell you the answer to this, it took longer to create an account and ask then it would of taken to find the answer yourself

I suggest getting a physical copy. It will update you to 3.0.1, but TrustZone hax is confirmed working on that firmware.

months years days we have to wait of something new
or wait that ninty patch the right things
Who cares if they patch Switch on higher firmware if you are on lower? I don't care. Even if they patched one hole there will be some more (Trustzone works with newest firmware, we need kernel access only).

Where was it confirmed that trustzonehax works on the latest firmware? I've only heard of it supporting up to 3.x.

  • 4.0.0 - 4.1.0 is also "safe" in the long term to crack TrustZone with `déjà vu`. However, the exploit relies on another issue fixed in 4.0.0 (Memory controller access - "probably" fixable in the long term, but not in the short term).
