Hacking Cannot Install Tinfoil, please help!

Hello!

Im fairly new to switch modding but not console modding in general. So i don't think im a dummy but you may soon correct me.

I have a perfectly good homebrew switch ( my own ) running tinfoil and everything else i want, no issues.

I went to mod my buddies switch today, got everything installed ( latest hektate, atmosphere, sept, sigpatches, etc ) and its all working just great.

However now I simply cannot get tinfoil to install. Ive tried installing the newest version and older versions. Ive put it on both the root, and in the switch folder. Everything gives me the same result. I get a quick black screen and nothing installs. Then when i go to the home screen there is a blank tile with a spinning icon in the center that wont go away. I cant hit start on it to delete it etither.. I have to do it from the data management page in the switch settings.

Ive tried a formatted SD and starting over with everything.

What am i mising? Am i crazy

Got the same problem. Havent touched my switch in a couple of months, used Reinx on 8.10 before.
Updated to fw 10.2.0 and Atmosphere 0.14.4. Transfered the latest tinfoil. Got the same issue as you.
Maybe tinfoil isnt up to date yet?

EDIT: Nevermind! Updated the sigpatches and tinfoil started just fine!

It seems the issue was coming when i wouldnt launch fusee-primary payload. When i would launch from hektate and use the CFW option it wouldnt work. Im unsure if this solved my problem but it sbeen working since then,

After i install new sigpatches do i need to reboot? Maybe that was my problem, i installed tinfoil, then sigpatches.

Its working now. Im not sure what fixed it. I started launching directly from fusee-primary, could that have done it? I know it only runs on vanilla atmosphere.

Or is it possible i have to reboot after installing sigpatches?

Just use Awoo Installer instead.
