Misc can you uses mods in online play?

I want to try out that sonic over mario mod for mario kart 8, could i use that for online play or no?

Yes if it only changes how the character looks and doesn't change your vehicle stats or add any custom tracks that would change the gameplay

How would I go to use them online? I tried sdcafiine and it doesnt work. I know i have my folders and everything right.

Does it work when playing offline? If it works in offline but not online that's really weird
I use sdcafiine too and it always worked for both online and offline

Edit: I looked at your other thread and I think your path is wrong
Try doing sdcafiine/0005000C1010EC/mod name/content/driver instead of sdcafiine/0005000C1010EC/content/driver

Okay ill try that . I also noticed I had 0005000C1010EC00 so i removed the last two and see if itll work now.

Well i tryed putting it as 0005000C1010EC/mods/content/driver and still nothing. It doesnt work offline or online. I even tryed loaded mocha first then sdcafiine instead of just sdcafiine by itself and still nothing.

I used to get the mods working in loadiine via a custom update folder. It worked I just have to figure out dlc on their again but no online play. It would be nice to play mods online but ill stick to this way of offline for now until can figure out whats going on with sdcaffine.

Try putting the zeros back
Also put another empty folder in the game id directory and sdcafiine should show a menu when you launch the game

Okay I now have two folders one is 0005000C1010EC and the other is 0005000C1010EC00. Im not seeing a menu when I launch the game, so that lets me believe its sdcaffine itself not being loaded in the wii u system memory. Im thinking maybe trying an older version of it, the one im using is 1.4

I mean putting 2 folders inside the 0005000C1010EC00 folder
