NO, Usually if the instructions say an SD card that is all they mean I am afraid to inform you.
But there are things that will run off a flash drive after you have initially installed your homebrew channel/twilight hack with the sd card.
There are alot of helpful people here that have pretty much covered everything and the exact way needed to install it.
