my wii u's sd card slot got broken. while i was trying to dismantle wii u, i broke its motherboard's corner.I went to my local video game technician, and he fixed the sd card slot easily, though he said he couldn't fix the motherboard issue. after 5 months of wait, he said he moved all of the components(he specified that he moved exactly 38 components) to a new motherboard, and he claims Wii U is working fine now. I don't think this is possible since the communication between components might be encrypted and such, and moving components doesn't feel like a something nintendo would allow.

The Board are just copper traces connecting everything. If he moves the SoC, he needs also to move the Disc drive and either move the SLC and MLC or copy it. So in theory it can be done. The question is just if it is worth the effort. You would require da donor board where the SoC is the problem and special equipment and a lot of time and work. I don't think it would be woth it for such a cheap console.

I find that hard to accept, I'm more inclined to believe that he swapped boards with another (possibly broken/for parts) Wii U.
