Well there aren't any moving parts so I don't think it would do that much. All I would watch out for is it draining the battery and perhaps overheating depending on what you're doing. I'm not sure there would be much of a difference in the wear 'n tear between those and tablets though, besides what I mentioned.

Im using the shield tablet and 2 years after it seems even todays tablets cant compare to it. I could be wrong though
