    Hello all,

I've run myself into a bit of a pickle and I think I know what I did but I want to see if anyone knows a solution to my problem.

I can and know how to run CFW on my 9.2 3DS. Before CFW was a thing, I downloaded games and such from the eshop while on sysnand when it could legitly access the eshop. I organized them in folders and such. I could access them both on sys and emunand. Well, strangely, I can't access *any* of them on sysnand anymore as if they don't exist. If I boot into emunand, the games do appear but they appear as a bunch of new titles (presents) scattered all over the menu screen and not in folders. This has never happened before.

On emunand, I did set up a NNID out of curiosity. However, that alone didn't put me in the state I'm in now. The situation I am in now seemed to have happened when I tried to access the eshop on sysnand using this hack. I have done this hack before but not when I had NNID setup. The eshop acted very strangely as if I was connecting on there for the first time (setting up the 3DS and what not) which couldn't be farther from the truth. However, just now I realized I can't access any games/apps that I could previously on sysnand. Even stranger, both sysnand and emunand don't have a NNID associated with them anymore even though I know I set one up on emunand.

In hindsight, it wasn't bright to try connecting back up the the eshop on sysnand and that's my fault. I've tried a number of things like replacing files on my SD card to having the bare minimum of data on my SD card with no luck.

Not sure what else to do. I did back up my sysnand before all of this if that matters but I'm not sure what to do at this point. Anybody have suggestions? Also, don't sugar coat stuff. If my apps are forever f**ked to stay on emunand then I can accept that. I'm just happy nearly all of my 3DS games physical!

Thanks for reading and for any responses,

Did you unlink your emuNAND and sysNAND? If you did, that would be a good explanation.

You could test it by putting a theme on SysNAND and see if it applies itself to EmuNAND or vice versa.

I tried switching my theme from black to yellow on sysnand and booted into emunand. It stayed yellow. I then changed it to pink in emunand and went back to sysnand and it was still pink. I think the nands are linked.

I'm getting more convinced that the eshop screwed something up when I tried to access on Sysnand.

Strange, accessing eShop on sysNAND for me actually did the opposite.
I had something installed on emuNAND but not on sysNAND and went to eShop to install the same things on sysNAND to prevent the gift wrapping bug. It wouldn't let me redownload the titles at all (the option was grayed out since it said I already had them installed), however when I exited to the home menu I noticed all the titles missing from sysNAND suddenly had their banner showing up and I was able to launch them.

It seems like it might have for some reason created a new eShop account on your sysNAND that is now linked to your NNID. Are you still able to redownload your eShop purchases on emuNAND? (as in, do they show up in the downloads section)

But that's the thing. If i go to NNID settings in either sys or emunand, my 3DS asks me to set up a new account or link to an existing account. I think I might be able to access these setting from both sysnand and emunand. Assuming it lets me do anything at all, which nand should I be doing this on?

I don't know for the moment. I need to update my emunand to the latest firmware. I always get nervous updating.

Oh, I see what happened now.
You created an NNID on your emuNAND. Everything continued to work as normal. Then, when you tried to access the eShop on your sysNAND (where the NNID is not linked) it saw that you had eShop titles that were not yours (because they were linked to a NNID) and removed them. The eShop will automatically fix such things. Presumably in an effort to prevent people from calling up Nintendo to get their NNID transferred manually, and then them just continuing to use the purchased content on both 3DSes, and things like that.
    Does that sound right?

If so I believe there is one way to get your content back on sysNAND again, which is to link the NNID there.
However, it won't let you link the NNID as long as it's linked on emuNAND.
So the steps are as follows:
    1. backup your emuNAND with the emuNAND Tool: https://gbatemp.net/threads/emunand-tool-release-and-support-thread.359239/
    2. Copy the "Nintendo 3DS" folder off your SD card to have a backup, as you will need it. Alternatively, you could simply rename the folder which will be faster.
    3. Format your emuNAND using "System Format", NOT the option in the Gateway launcher. This will unlink your NNID and delete the downloaded content which is why step 2 is important.
    4. Now you can proceed to use Free Multi Patcher/NTR-CFW to spoof firmware (not sure if this is needed to add an NNID but it won't hurt), then link the NNID on your sysNAND by using the NNID settings.
    5. Restore your emuNAND backup, again with the emuNAND tool
    6. Delete the "Nintendo 3DS" folder from your SD card if it has been recreated, before copying the backup you made in step 2 back onto the card.
    7. Lastly, enter sysNAND and verify that your downloaded apps show up in the Home Menu. If not, spoof firmware with Free Multi Patcher/NTR-CFW again, and enter the eShop, waiting for it to load before exiting. This should fix the tickets and make the apps show up, but if it doesn't you may have to redownload them.

Ok, I'm back in business and the games display on both sysnand and emunand now.

I read these steps carefully and thought about the situation I'm in. For one, neither my sysnand or emunand had a NNID associated with them. I did step 1,2 just as a precaution but I skipped straight to step 4. I set up my NNID on sysnand (not using CFW) and that worked fine. However, the games still didn't appear at first. My next thought was to get back on the eshop to redownload them. I preceded to use the very same hack that got me in this mess since there is no other way to access the eshop on 9.2 firmware. When I went to redownload games, it claimed I had already downloaded them. When I went back to the home screen, they all appeared as presents. I opened a few of them and they do seem to have the game saves stored so it appears that I am back in business.

I wonder what would happen if I tried to access the eshop using emunand now since it doesn't have a NNID associated with it. I'm nervous the same thing will happen where it doesn't recognize any games as before but to emunand. I'm tempted to just re-enter my NNID into it but that seems too easy. I would think that Nintendo would be smarter than to allow a clean 3DS to have access to the sign up for the same ID. Would I be able to get around this if I created a new emunand since emunand is just a copy of sysnand to the SD card (I think)?

You can create a new emuNAND, just make sure you don't have anything on your current emuNAND that you don't want to lose first.
