I want to see if my possibly patched switch and I want a yes or no answer, but I don't want to waste money on a jig if its patched plus I have tried the tinfoil/ aluminum foil rcm method but it never worked. Any other options

You don't need a jig; you just need something conductive like aluminum foil, a paperclip, or even a SIM card remover.

Tried it, never works

Wait I could use a SIM CARD REMOVER

How would I do that

If the Switch is still on 4.1.0 and has never connected to the internet, it may still be hackable.
I know of PegaScape, but as the idiot i am i updated to 11.0.1, however I heard their may be a vulnerability in the software so high hopes

You can ofcourse try and find a SX mod chip, then find friend that is really good at soldering.

@WiiMiiSwitch If you updated to 11.0.1, then you shouldn't hold your breath for a software exploit. It will likely be many years, if ever, before a software exploit is available on 11.0.1. Either get an exploitable Switch or install a modchip.

Yes I know, everyone says that, but i'm just going to hope that there will be an exploit and if not that's okay
Just so people have more info my serial was XAW1009639.....

XAW1009639 is almost certainly patched, and you are unlikely to ever be able to hack it without installing a modchip, since you updated to 11.0.1.

I think eventually there will be another China made knockoff come to market, prob underground or labeled differently. It's always a cat and mouse game.
Maybe, but nintendo will take it down again even if so

Yes but people said the same thing about the Wii mini and the PS3, and they were eventually exploited, but to be fair the Wii mini exploit happened years after it was dead. Of course the Xbox One was never hacked (without extremely low firmware) but Nintendo is a lot less powerful than Microsoft. But you are probably right, just hoping maybe one day it will happen

And then another will come out, that's the cat and mouse game. I guarantee you, someone right now, in China prob, is creating another SX of some form as we speak. Maybe it will be called a SD backup tool, and Switch switcher, Homebrew home, or something dif to get past the BS for now. But if there's money to be made off something, and there's demand for it, someone will find a way.

It will, but in one month it will be taken to the supreme court, because Nintendo hates hackers (surprised xkit still exists) but the reason I never bought the SX CORE was due to high price, i know if they use atmosphere the price will be owner but still. Nintendo will go after them unless there joycon drift lawsuits are too much

Just for the curiosity of the people, I used the tinfoil rcm trick and fusee test.bin . It took me about 1000 times to make the rcm jig but it worked. Just only put it on pins 9 and 10, nothing else

If you're not so confident and don't want to short anything, go to one of those Chinese website and buy a jig. You can buy and ship one for less then 2 bucks...
