Can I re-purpose sx pro dongle?

Just dusted down my switch and decided to get atmosphere on it. I previously used SXOS and it worked fine but being as they are gone I’m left with a jig and sxos dongle.

So my question is can I use the dongle just like I did with sxos to boot the payload rather than having to plug it in to my pc all the time?

I'm sure those dongles can be updated, just replace SXOS payload with Atmosphere payload (maybe name the latest atmosphere payload, the same as SXOS payload for proprietary compatability) and do the same for the files on SD replacing all SXOS files with latest Atmosphere files.

Just replace your dongle with a modern RCM Loader. Installing payloads is alot easier than having to manually convert.

Convert the latest Hekate with this and you won't need to do it again since Hekate looks for a file each time, if that is updated it will run it.

Or you can try with the sxgear's boot.dat

Converted hekate not always works... And you can launch fusee if you don't want hekate.

Honestly I totally brainfarted on that one. I totally forgot about the gear files xD

I've downloaded sxgear as above and ive copied the boot.dat and boot.ini files to the root of the SD card.

I've gone to then boot by using my jig and sxos adapter (holding volume up and power button) I can see it trying to boot (the green light on the sxpro adapter goes green but just a black screen.

If I inject fusee.bin via tegrarcm it boots in to Atmosphere. So must be the way im set up.

all you need is use the newest fusee.bin or hekate and convert it to boot.dat

and also the emummc folder and .ini setting if you are using emunand

That did it thanks - Do I need boot.ini and boot.dat still in the root? or can they be removed?

Yes keep them. The dongle is hard coded to run boot.dat, then it's boot.dat that loads payload.bin

Yepp!

If you update to the latest atmosphere and Hekate. You need Hekate patches and recommended to use Sys-patch as well.

You basically just need sys-patch to be fair, but both is recommended.

you have to look at what boot.ini points to, and name hekate or fusee with that name, and put it in that location.
