So i have a question apex legends on the nintendo switch has a fov locked at 70 but recently youtube videos popped up about people who edit the cfg file to get a nice 120 fov so my question will he get banned for changing one line in the cfg file?

He can be banned. If he will be banned - time will tell.
As you normally cannot edit this file on Switch, it's obvious sign they run game with custom firmware.

If you're running any file modification online on CFW thru LayeredFS you are taking a risk for a ban because Nintendo can detect it but it might take a while or could be fast who knows.

Nintendo doesn't check that for third party games, devs who made game must do this. And they do on PC in every multiplayer competitive game. So Switch shouldn't be an exception.

Even for changing one line in the files can lead to a ban crazy i mean the game is crossplay and everyone ps4 pc els use 120 fov only the switch is locked at 70 what makes the game realy hard to play but thanks for the info

"changing one line"
You shouldn't have access to files AT ALL. So what was changed doesn't matter. What matters is that there was a change. And they can send request to Nintendo to ban you with just this.

Oh that's good to know I thought Nintendo dealt with anti-cheat stuff for all games not just stuff like Splatoon or Mario Kart.
