Hardware Can a wii u pro controller work on the wii mode?

So I've found a nice custom pro controller but the good ones I find are only for the wii u but then I started thinking: "will a Wii u pro controller work on the wii mode of the wii u?" Please awnser. Thanks.

Likely not and if they don't, well, don't expect there to ever be a mod to enable it, as far as I have been told you would have to go in and make a special modification for every single wii game for it to be able to use it

I think you can possibly use it with WiiVC Injector but i don't know...
