Been using my XTU J7 in my living room as a test run and I really like it, but the problem is that it doesn't continuously record 24hrs. 😕

The intercom feature is pretty neat on these things, too.

So yeah, hope someone can recommend me one that does that, and costs $100 or less. I was honestly a bit annoyed XTU J7 doesn't (may sell eventually).

Thanks.

SD card storage is not ideal since if somebody rips your doorbell off the wall they take all your footage too.
Most doorbells either use cloud storage (and cost a monthly subscription) and the ones that don't store the footage on a NAS or just a PC running with a file share on it, and there's no limit to how much those can record AFAIK.
So you could consider something like that. For example the Ubiquiti Protect G4.

You're not really going to find one imho.

You are going to encounter one of 3 problems with your request.
1.) Price for feature set desired
2.) Some features don't exist in your price
3.) Compromises and logistics of design.

The other thing to note is that most doorbells do not actively record 24/7. They typically record upon proximity as some run on battery which in this case would drain very fast on constant recording. What you want is more of a security camera/CCTV camera and just affix it above your door's walk way to better record your ongoing video. Those are reasonably cheap enough and can record on SD.

I have a CCTV set although I've not installed and Camera Doorbells have an intercom while CCTVs don't. That's a feature I didn't know I needed till I tried.
