Bypassing blocked ports?

Hey guys, I'm on a pc @ school at the moment and I'm trying to reach my VNCenabled computer at home, but it seems they blocked port 5800 and probably all other ports, is there any way to bypass this? I tried some proxys but then the java applety gives me the a "red X". We don't have admin rights on the pc's so I can't install the a VNC viewer so I have to use the Java VNC applet.

Anyone got any ideas?

Try sending it through a different port but be warned many schools/colleges/universities block ports if they detect high usage (VNC is not exactly light on the usage.
Telnet, FTP and SSL are good candidates (SSL especially as any packet inspection is hard to trace this way).

Also is a live disc or some such not an option?

What's a live disc? I can't boot on any other disc, the teacher kinda walks around during class so as soon as she sees me doing something different from what we're supposed to do she'll start to yell (it happened before >_>).
