I have been a huge Toejam & Earl fan since the Genesis games. I loved III for the Xbox and continue to play it to this day. I purchased the VC games on the Wii to support the developer. God I hope there will be a new game.
A thread over at Gamespot.com has inspired me to post this in several forums to rally the troops and support this developer.

The ports of VC games on the Wii are the only VC games I have downloaded. I have fond memories playing these games as a child on the Genesis renting them countless times at my local rental store. I even bought a Dreamcast when it was announced for the system, well it was one of the reason bought it atleast, but it was postponed on the Xbox. The 3rd game was fantastic and I still play it on my Xbox more than any other title. I really miss this franchise and hope to see another game. Are you guys/gals planning on making another?
I have started threads in many forums calling for a "Buy Toejam and Earl on VC" campaign in order to support you guys. Please reply, thanks!

That is very interesting. I still have lots of hope for a new game and by your tone there is definitely hope. Would high sales in the Virtual Console titles help out the future development of a new title, or perhaps a petition or some kind of campaign from fans of the series?commentsATtjandeDOTcom said:Hi Jo,
Thanks for the nice letter! That's great to hear that you've gotten so much enjoyment from TJ&E. I'm sorry to say that I haven't been so successful with getting a publisher to bite on a new TJ&E game. Right now I'm on to other things but I haven't given up on more TJ&E games. In this business it is really not up to the developer (that's us). All we can do is pitch ideas to publishers and try to get their interest in funding a game and so far no one has wanted to fund a TJ&E game (We've been trying to get one going for the Wii or the DS).
Oh well, never say never. Thanks for the support!!

This is the second email. It was sent 1 hour ago so no reply just yet. Maybe tomorrow.

PS. I take it from your search of a new publisher that Sega doesn't own the rights to the games, they just publish them correct? That's interesting cause I always thought that Toejam & Earl was a property of theirs. If it isn't then that is news to me.
Thanks. I'll try not to bug you.
