If I read right, you need to use the experimental mode through pixil, which has a tendency to fail.

So in other words... quit screwing around with DSLinux and just use Bunjalloo, right?

UPDATE! i have the multi file build on my acekard 2.1 and i am using my ez-flash 3in1 for slot 2 ram.
I typed wnc, clicked enter, then i selected my network and clicked enter, and it connected! then i typed links and clicked enter. links opened up! loaded up facebook moblie, m.facebook.com, and it worked!... but there were no pictures or html elements. there was only text!

now, i cant figure out how to make pictures and html work on links!

You'll notice that nobody ever said that DSLinux had the fastest *graphical* browsers, hehe. Regardless, Retawq is text-only, graphical Links can be launched by typing "links -g" (or using a long complicated script that makes it look a bit nicer, which I can post if you're interested), or if you launch PIXIL you can use the included ViewML browser in that (but it's horribly painful to use). The issue is that graphical Links uses up a fair amount of memory, and doesn't free it up as you progress through pages, causing an inevitable crash as it runs out of memory.

The advantage that Retawq and text-only Links has is that because they were already full-fledged browsers before being ported to the DS, they support more features at a greater stability than other browsers might have. For instance, Retawq can actually have tabbed browsing in a sense, with multiple windows, and there are several download options you can try (lowercase "d" saves the current page as HTML, shift+D saves the highlighted link, and I think ctrl+shift+D does something else too).

What I normally did back when I regularly used Links was to view it in text-only mode, set the option to display "[ IMG ]" where images were, and if I wanted to view an image, I would save it to my card by simply pressing Enter (or the A button), going to another virtual terminal with Alt+F2, and typing "links -g MyImageFile.jpg" to view it (using the brackets [] if necessary to scroll horizontally), then pressing "q" to quit. Alternatively, there's that FBView image viewer program somewhere on the DSLinux forums that you could try using in place of launching graphical Links.

Is it more work than using Bujalloo? Yes. But I preferred doing it nonetheless. Just remember that Tab is your friend when completing filenames!

or just get a 3-1 for 10 bucks and use nds browser?
Is the official browser capped at ~15kb/s too?
I don't know. We should as Normmatt this. The wifi library is the official NitroSDK one. What do you think?

EDIT:
fgghjjkll, about 50kb/s usually iirc

any update on DSlinux, twiztidsinz?Yeah.. turns out that the 'single file build' has no apps at all.
The multi-file build (above it in the download section) has them... but neither links nor retawq would run for me.

I'm not exactly sure what the error was, it was possibly that I didn't have all the files (ran out of space on my MicroSD, I'll try again with more room) or that I didn't have the slot2 device... but I'm not too hopeful on it working.

Neither worked with all the files... Same error as last time:CODEUnable to mmap process text, errno 12
Killed

I'm getting the same message as Twizt about errno 12. Anyone know how to pass this?

Yup, that would probably be it. Again, I've never run DSLinux without slot-2 RAM (since I can only launch it from my slot-2 Supercard) so I was never able to test and see how well it worked from a slot-1 device.
Couldn't you just run it on your Slot 1 card and pull out your Slot 2?

dude, read the whole post! he obviously has a slot 2 supercard and is using some sorta passcard.
therefore, he cant run it on his slot 1.... cuz he doesn't have one!

you know what I would be perfectly happy with? If Bunjaloo would simply have A. the faster libraries that DSLinux can access, and b. Table support so that webpages don't look so funked up.

I don't plan on the DS being my primary browser, but I'd like to use it in pinches.

Being able to DL directly to the card is a nice plus too.

It's opensource so the only thing standing in the way is someone who knows how to do it...
I can't imagine that replacing the wifilibs would be too difficult, but I'm not sure.

Maybe some of these coders on this site could help!.... if they only knew how popular they'd be if they made bunjaloo better!

If I recall he has a Supercard DSone.

I do, but I don't think anyone has ever had success launching DSLinux from an SCDSi. Granted, I never tried it in the latest EOS, only with the old Moonshell-based loader, but my guess is that it would act the same.

But back on subject: DSOrganize randomly deleted several of my files, then started crashing consistantly. Pass.

if you are using version 3.2 of dsorganize delete it and switch to version 3.1129. v3.2 was basically a leaked beta that has quite a few bugs. it can corrupt your microsd card, but that can be fixed by editing the config file to not allow writing. also, another bug is that the web browser crashes often. v3.1129 has none of these problems.

IS THAT THE PROBLEM?! THANX DUDE! YOU'RE A TRUE LIFESAVER!

That's really quite a shame choconado, I think it's best to use both dsorganize and bunjalloo, where dsorganize wont work, use bunjalloo, and vice versa.
