Some months ago now I made a MSBT editor specifically because I couldn't find a way to edit the game's text in bulk using other existing ones (like changing every line of text and updating the whole file all at once).

Using HxD is required but there are specific on screen instructions to give the tool what it asks for.

The only game this has been tested on so far is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (tool was made specifically for me to make a "I put the whole game through google translate 100 times" mod for it)
Also the only language I know is Scratch.

So yeah try it out, here's the scratch project link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/659193044/

If you just want to try it out here's a MSBT file to edit https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/501165182643470337/952708104024379403/Common.msbt

What's the MSBT editor in the first place? Can you explain.
Text files in a lot of games use the MSBT format. It contains pretty much all of the game's text (the text that aren't images anyway). Every character name, course name, and any other text you can see. That scratch project I made is the tool I made which allows exporting the whole text to a txt file, making as many edits as you want, and re importing the whole thing at once.

I've been looking for something like this for a long time. I tried to make a dump/redump like this of texts from msbt files, but without success, even because I'm too much of a novice. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd ask you to help me see if you can extract text from a file like this, because I didn't quite understand the explanation on the site. This is just one of the 900 msbt files that the game has, so if you can do it with one and show me how, I'll be able to do it with the others.
