Gaming Building a collection?

Should I go for it?
I've been using my flashkart since 2007 and I haven't bought a DS game since then.
But I plan on doing a lil project by collecting games for all my consoles(DS, PS2 and soon PS3 and 3DS).
As a college student with a part-time job, should I go for it and go broke? Or nay?

I've been planning to do that myself. I'm just saving for the 3DS and don't have a job but I'm not too far from starting.
