Hardware broken psp charger

i was watching a movie from my psp 2000 via tv out put, and had the psp charging at the same time. half way through the movie, the movie flicked off then on. after the credits i with gone to unhook the psp, and noticed it wasn't charging.

now at home, the charger won't charge the console. i used a different charger and it does charge the psp.

curious, has charger/tv out issue occur to other people too? the charger is not an official sony brand.

the charger looked nothing like the picture you posted. i threw the charger in the garbage then bought a $2.20 unofficial charger from ebay.

next time i won't charge and watch a movie at the same time.
