Broken Joystick not working even after replacements

My left joystick won't accept any input in the left or right direction. I ordered a new one, and it didn't work. I ordered a left PCB board and in combination with the new joystick, it worked for a little while. Now it's not working again.

Not sure what to do. It may be a motherboard issue, but I can't find any online for the 2000 model available at the moment - aside from iFixit having some, but they're currently out of stock - so I'm hoping it doesn't come to replacing that.

Tried asking about this on Reddit and got no answers.

My guess is on the motherboard as well. I would look into where the daughter board plugs in.

Try redoing the flat flex cable, that was a PITA when reassembling mine and took a couple of attempts.

Maybe check the condition of the cable as well, cleaning with IPA if you can,
