Hacking Broken Acekard 2i spring

I recently broke the Micro SD card spring on my new Acekard 2i... The micro SD won't go in no matter what I do, it just pops back out. I was wondering if anybody knows what I can do about that, because now I have to hold it in with tape and even then it still pops back out so that my Acekard can no longer read it. And I add things/take things off of my AK frequently, so yeah, help appreciated.

the ak2i came out after the blue pcb and uses the new shell w/o the spring. are you sure your using an ak2i? all products have a 1 yr warranty. contact your retailer and ask for a replacement.

edit: my mistake, it appears the ak2i did ship with a spring.

It's for a R4, but the SD reader is pretty much the same, so you can give it a try. I never did it myself, so it is at your own risks!

But how do I open my Acekard safely before removing the spring? According to its site the shell is glued shut.

you don't. you make use of the 1yr warranty. you contact your retailer and tell them to replace it.

When this happened to my R4, I tied it with a string, and eventually, it started staying in again. lol

i'm sure you could rig it to work in many ways, and the string idea is a good use of household items, but on bootup the msd draws power, and you don't want to have the cart partially inserted.
