Hardware Bricked Wii

Trying to repair this Wii for my nephew and it just turns on with a black screen. No idea what happened to this machine and it probably sat for a while cause the batteries in the WiiMote had exploded. I've tried some suggestions I Google'd like using NUSDownloader_v19 to download wad files and place them in a wad forlder in a SD Card. Doesn't do nothing when I turn on the machine.

Any help or suggestions on what to do?

Do you have any hacks installed on the Wii? (Priiloader, Bootmii, or the Homebrew Channel)?

No idea what or what wasn't done to the Wii. Anyway to Jtag the Wii?

Are you able to turn on the Wii with the Wiimote power button? If you can't then your bluetooth module is busted.

I can't turn it on with the Wiimote. Not even sure this Wiimate even belongs to this machine, since the batteries were blown. Repairing the bluetooth module will allow the device to go beyond the black screen?

If the Wiimote didn't work to turn it on, repairing the bluetooth module would have fixed it. Do you have a Gamecube controller you could take apart?

Thanks for the suggestion of the bluetooth module. I had taken apart the Wii and found the module wasn't connected. Just barely held on with the glue they used to keep it in place. I'm guessing one of the kids had knocked this Wii off and it fell and it disconnected the bluetooth. It's located in the front of the Wii. A good frontal force would do it. Pushed it back in and the Wii now turns on and everything.

Now it's time for some hacking and then I'll give it back.
