So I tried to install FlashMe on both my DS Phat and Lite, and it worked PERFECTLY on the Phat, taking less than a minute! But when I tried to do the same for the DS lite, it was a lot harder and got stuck often. When I finally reached 92%, the console shut off! The weird thing is, the SL1 tool wasn't in the console, and the thing was plugged in with a battery still in the console. Now the system won't turn on, and when I try to plug in the charger, the light flashes for less than a second then goes off again. Can someone tell me how to fix this issue? Thanks!

Recovery:
Failsafe code is written into the first few blocks of firmware, in case the flashing procedure gets interrupted or malicious software overwrites part of your firmware. If your firmware gets corrupt, hold START+SELECT to boot directly to SLOT-1 or SLOT-2. From there, you can run flashme or noflashme to repair it.

Not sure if it works with slot1 but it will work with slot2, I've successfully used recovery after failed flashme installs even at 5% or so.

Weird, so it doesn't power on even if you hold start+select and slide the power switch?
If you can check the fuses.

Even if its flashme error and recovery won't work for some reason you can just replace the bios, its located on this wifi board:

I've even tried swapping WiFi boards/BIOS boards with another (junk) DS lite. Nothing. Still won't boot. I'm thinking its really a dead fuse or two...

it's a blown fuse...
it happened to me during flashme..
my guess is accidentally touched the other contacts while trying to use a screw driver to short the contact..

Quick update: bridged the fuses with some solder, and the charging light now stays on, but the console still won't power on at all

Thats weird that it bricked like this...usually replacing wifi board and/or fuses helps. I probably won't be able to help any further, never has such problems with ds lites that I installed flashme on.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?

    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament

maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
