Brawl texture hack project TBR Dec. 20th

"Let’s start with the good news. Phase I and Phase II are both 100% complete. That means 100% of all character textures and Kirby Hats are complete, along with their second drafts.

We’ve started on Character Selection Portraits, but we still have Character Banners that need to be done. Stock Icons are out, due to something that’s somewhat complicated to explain. There are also other “extras”.

The guide is most likely going to be finished Saturday or Sunday. I’ll be sending it to Stack Smash to see if they think it needs to be more clear or revised or something. The index page is done, and good riddance to that nonsense.

More good news: We have a release date. December 20th, 2008. Just in time for the holidays. That gives us less than a month to finish."

Figured I'd post this here, since I know a lot of people who are excited about this. In case you don't know about this project or who the ]SE[ team is, here is a little snippet...

"This project is all about paying homage to the video game characters that have inspired and enthralled us for generations. I’ll never forget the first time I transformed into Fierce Deity, or unlocked the coveted Black Yoshi. We give our heart-filled thanks to the creative geniuses who thought up these characters and breathed life into them, as they changed our lives forever.

To honor these various characters, we have begun a project replacing two costumes of each character of smash with a new one. Sometimes it’s a creative color change, sometimes it’s a completely new character."

Remember guys, there's also a Phase II... which means a all the texture hacks are gonna get at least minor updates.

@airpirate545: Just because there's a Chrono Ike Kirby doesn't mean there's a Chrono Ike. The Kirby textures are special... so just because Kirby absorbs Meat Grinder ROB doesn't mean he'll become Meat Grinder Kirby.

There's no proof that Nintendo shut them down (If there is one then I have yet to see it). It's just the strangest of all things to do, considering how they let other bigger stuff go by.
