anyone know what firmware it requires?? anyone want to guess what scene group will release the rom file and when?

im guessing firmware 6.2 and venom within the next 2 days (hopefully)

Just started playing this game and I was enjoying it until I found out that you can pay ~$2.00 to use cheats to activate a turn at any time for 3 times...or leave your save file loaded in sleep mode for ~24 hours, dafuq is dis sheeeit!? Micro-transactions in my Nintendo game!? If this keeps up, I'll soon be done with console gaming and NOT get a PS4, but instead just spend ~$800+ on building a computer instead.

The game is solid so far, I like what I see (Aside from the SP Drinks! Grr! *shaky fist*) the combat is interesting and the item and spell names are very fimiluar to anyone who has played a Final Fantasy game.

Although, the game does reference Final Fantasy I on the NES a bit too much.

..."The Seas Rot, Fires Rage, The Wind Stops, and The Earth Rots..."
..."The Winds Stop, The Sea Rots, Fires Rage...and the Earth will be clouded in a darkness so that no living thing can exsist"
Four vestiges for four crystals, four heroes with four orbs...gee where have I heard this before? Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with re-hashing parts of a story while re-writing everything else, but can we have a different call to action every now and then?

Umm wut? It's a SE game and these are the microtransactions no one should have a problem with. Able to get it without money and not necessary to get through the game at all.

Except you can entirely ignore the SP system.
I'm playing on hard and have yet to ever feel the need to use the stupid system, it's just for casuals. It's definitely tacky, but it doesn't detract from the actual game.

OT-
There are plenty of quality multilayer titles for the PC which are free of subscription / pay2play.
To name a few favorites of mine: Diablo2, Diablo3, FreeShard UO servers, UCGO, Dawn of War.
most of which wouldn't require a $800 rig to play, and servers are still plentiful an active.

I downloaded the eur version and im using 2.01b but it wont work do I have to have 2.02b in order for it to work?

Ughh... I can't decide if download it tonight, or tough it out until tomorrow for the physical game (which will require some hunting as it's pretty much sold out in my area)

I put my sd card in my 3ds that has 1.2 firmware and the game loads but it wont work with 2.01b with the latest emunand 7.1 would that be the reason?

so any game that has sdk 4.2.5 even though it requires firmware 5.1 and up will work with 1.2 firmware?

as long as its not using 5.X+ SDK it will work on 1.2, firmware requirement doesnt matter as 1.2 added firmware spoofing
anything above 5.X+ SDK needs 2.0b1+ (like link between worlds)

were you trying to play the game through emunand on 2.0b1?
try loading it on sysnand

I was trying to play it in gateway mode with 2.01b wouldn't even show the game in the card slot. but when I put the 1.2 firmware in it works right off the bat. I hope gateway will release a firmware that doesn't jeopardize destroying our 3ds. cause right now I have my 3ds rom files separate that will work with 1.2 and what requires 2.01b and up. I hope that the usa 3ds rom of bravely default is using the same sdk as the euro one but we couldn't get that lucky im sure its 5.1 :(

I'm at 45h, just started chapter 4 (out of 8).

I find the difficulty not very well set in this game, I have to do a lot of leveling between each events.
I often have the encounter rate set to x2 (+100%), and to go even faster, I'm playing in easy, with all my characters set to Brave x4 to win on the first round, and with battle speed x4. It's still long to level up to catch boss's difficulty.

The game is fine and funny to play, so it's not boring.

I have all the jobs up to chapter 4.
I'm missing only the summonings. (I tested to battle one, I died on first round lol. I'll come back at Lv100 u_u)
how do you get summer job spells? i know the owl guy gives you it but he murdered my whole team in one blow xD is there any order i need to go? cause i know there is one for each summoner spell.
For summonings, you only have to survive his attack and he'll give you the summon. If you want an easy way to get summons, get White Mage to job level 14 and equip the "Conservation of Life" ability, which will revive all party members who are dead when the one equipping said ability dies. Although by the time you get White Mage to job level 14, the only summon you should have trouble with is the "secret" summon. There are 6 summon spells, 1 for each element (including neutral). You can get them in any order you like, whenever you like.

Oh, because taking time with the game, doing all the subquests, lvlng them up (including all class jobs), (basically not rushing through the game), is struggling? Please.
This. Just because he enjoys playing the game, doesn't mean he's struggling with it. I played well over 100 hours on the Japanese version to complete the game 100% and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
