Installed it (not quite sure why), but I don't want it to load first, WHILE the SD is in the slot.
How do I do that?

Well, the main problem for me with BootMii, is the fact that it takes like 10 seconds to boot up, while booting normally take about 2 seconds.

To be fair that's an issue with your SD card. Mine launches the BootMii menu in less than a second after powering on my Wii.

Sounds logical, since i'm using an SD I got with my phone XD

stop bitchin
not everyone has the time to read through a ton of text, sometimes it's just faster to ask a question, get an answer and move on, if you don't want to answer the damn questions then don't, but I hate it when people complain about this, I for one HATE reading and I hate reading through giant topics just to find an answer to a question that might or might not be in there.

just out of curiosity what the hell do you want to know that hasn't been addressed? I will be more than jovial to oblige you with a proper response?!?!? and I repeat through my bitching... "you ILLITERATE BASTARD!!!" THINK HOW QUICK YOUR COULD FIND AN ANSWER IF SOO MANY DICKHEADS WOULD ACTUALLY READ INSTEAD OF POSTING THE SAME DAMN THING OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN..... IT CALLED FLOODING... STOP THE SHIT!!

i MEAN IT'S ONE THING NOT TO KNOW SOMETHING BECAUSE A THREAD GETS BURIED IN THE 740+ TOPICS ON THE FORUM.. BUT I MEAN COME ON NOW!!! THIS IS 1 THREAD!

NOTICE MY POST COUNT... IT'S SO LOW BECAUSE I TRY MY BEST NOT TO ASK STUPID QUESTIONS!!!

STUPID QUESTION = A QUESTION THAT HAS BEEN ANSWERED MORE THAN TWICE IN THE SAME THREAD! (YES IT'S OK IF YOU MISS IT ONCE! BUT TWICE... COME ON NOW!)

Yeah me too. Guess that's the reason they've been calling this site: gbafail.

What is Bootmii ? for n00bs :

The wet dream of most console and pc hackers since day one is to completely remove the operating system in a machine and write their own operating system from scratch to communicate with all the hardware . After this is achieved you can write your own software in whatever programming language you installed for your custom operating system to read , hence taking FULL control over the machine without breaking any copyrighted code and without having to be forced using the programming language from the manufacturer.

This has afaik never been achieved fully in any console scene EVER .
There has been many failed attempts thru the years . the last one I can think of was Mathieulh´s Utopia project for psp .. The buzz was high for a while , but it died down to nothing.

Enter Bootmii !!

Finally Team twiizers have actually pulled it off and made a complete system replacement operating system . ! The achievement is HUGE ! And will go down in history .

What will this do for a normal user ?

Bootmii is among other things a boot replacer . Much like preloader , BUT it lets you do a complete nand backup or restore even if your wii is real messed up.
(as long as you have made a nand backup from within bootmii in advance)
Bootmii also has its own operating system called "mini" . This is written in a different programming language than usually used on wii homebrew (devkitpro\libogc) , so currently all developers will have to rewrite their apps to make them run from there.

This means that until some easy way to convert programs from one language to another is developed , all devs must rewrite everything from scratch so for the normal user Bootmii is nothing but a real fancy brickprotection the next few days.

Still , just be patient and bootmii will eventually turn into your new main system menu .

Hope that helps the n00bs

yeah.. but whats so awesome about apps that get written under bootmii if bootmii cant support the wiimote?

i thibk it was said hat ts being looked into.

IF THEY HAD READ THE THREAD LIKE i SUGGESTED THEY WOULD KNOW THAT! SORRY FOR THE ALL CAPS... I HATE STUPID SHEEPLE

ideal2545, it's not that bootmii can't support the wiimote, it's that mini dosn't have USB drivers yet. No USB == No USB2 == No bluetooth module support hence no wiimote support YET...
