just out of curiosity is it possible to uninstall bootmii?

there is no uninstaller yet, that will be released later
Wouldn't we be able to uninstall it by installing a boot2 wad from a Wii disc, overwriting BootMii?

no since you cant write to boot2 from a wad.
Well then how does the BootMii Installer do it?

The new Homebrew Channel SUPPORTS SDHC just not all SDHC cards, I have two SDHC cards, 4GB KINGMAX(bootmii wont boot from it) and an 8 gig SanDisk SDHC and they both work perfectly with HBC 1.0.2
It seems only some cards don't work right with it

Anyway, I have a question, are we supposed to be able to run apps from the SD Card browser in bootmii? Cause none of my apps seem to work, when i try to load Snes9x, FCE or GenPlus it does act is if it's loading the boot.dol for a while and then it just takes me back to the bootmii "desktop"

They all work fine with HBC tho

No, because those programs require the system IOS which hasn't been accessed yet.

New software will be written that you can run using MINI, or a different architecture ran by bootmii.

finally i found my sd card reader, just bannerbommed bootmii and the HBC back on my wii and downgraded back to 3,2u with the cIOSCORP installer now I'll just back up my wii nand and try to offline upgrade to 4.0u.
life's good when you can hack your wii and survive any brick, i almost fell invincible now if my wii could only see the wifi connection my computer does.

Gut feeling is the HBC 1.0.2 and incompatible SDHC cards may be due to IOS60/61 Installer/Patcher.

Do those who have SDHC working HBC 1.0.2 have 60/61 patched?

WOW, I just read 29 painful pages of the exact same questions over and over and over. I have an idea...how about you read the thread before asking questions? Thanks to all of the people who answered the same questions fifty times! Now I don't have to ask...

I don't get how this is better than PreLoader? Why would you need to restore NAND?

when you brick it?

and better than preloader because it boots before everything else meaning if you have it in boot2, then you fully brick it, you can restore your nand

think of it as windows sysetm restore points

this happens when the libogc sdhc-hack is run on a IOS that already supports sdhc cards.

How is the NAND bricked? I haven't heard of a brick that PreLoader can't recover. How do you activate BootMii once it's installed into boot2?

well you can delete the systemmenu if you want to try

if you use preloader and delete the systemmenu, preloader is deleted too so you cant recover

to activate it put the sd card with the bootmii files on it

Please do not install BootMii unless you have been following our blog for a while and know what IOS is, what boot1 and boot2 are, etc. If you’re curious, you can try anyway, but if you can’t figure out how to work this thing you should probably wait for a future beta. We really don’t want to see epic threads with “tips” on installing — this thing is supposed to be self-explanatory, and if it won’t install for you, that’s a bug we need to fix.

i advise you to stick to preloader for the moment and try not to experiment with your wii much

^^ that is for everybody that has question

Who the hell would do that?

Where's the fun in that.

If you browse these forums for any length of time you'll see a surprising number of people have either deleted their system menu or the IOS it runs off of. Preloader can't help you if you do that, but BootMii can as long as it's a boot2 install.

Unlike most of the dicks on here, I research before I do anything to my Wii.

I didn't know any better, so I installed it as boot2 and IOS. Is there any problem with this?

Nope. There's no reason not to, really. That way you can easily go back and fourth between BootMii and the HBC.
