Possibly, from what I know the NAND is just a dump of the wii's internal memory at the time you backed up the NAND.
So I guess it would restore everything to what you had on your wii right before you made the NAND dump...I've never restored my NAND before so that might not be the case

Yes its as people have said, it restores to backed up state.
I have done this several times going from 4.1e to 4.3e for testing.
Only thing to note is make sure your SD card has the the same apps as when you backed up, or some HBC won't work.

I don't think restoring your nand will change that because it is not stored on your console

you can but it must be converted. i believe betwiin is the app to convert nand dumps. but i believe you need the keys from the "different" wii.

can you restore a bootmii dump using bootmii ios? ive always wondered but never really asked or looked. i remember seeing that in the hbc update changelog, you need to use the konami code to enable or something...

is there a way to restore a NAND copy to the wii it's from when the wii has been formated?

I used the darkwii theme but i changed it back to default menu. but now i can't do a bootmii restore with a older NAND dump. it says its from a 'differenrt' wii. Can betwiin help me?

that has nothing to do with your theme. It sounds like a bug made with nand dumps from using Bootmii beta 3 and below.

Download this: Bootmii-KEYFIX.zip

Then fix your NAND.bin to use the correct keys by running the bootmii-keyfix executable in the same location as "NAND.bin" and "keys.bin"

thx 4 the help.
