Right now I'm playing Chrono Cross on my PSP. I love it.
However it is a two disc custom made eboot (weird save, some japanese background thumb animation).
I have some psn psx games and they have documentation, nice background, save and they are only one eboot. Is it possible to do it with Chrono Cross?
To make it looking more PSN alike?

I used PSX2PSP as suggested in the sticky HERE, made my FFVII 4 disks into one EBOOT, went to the site in the sticky to get all the icons, background and such, worked fine so far.
Hope that's what you mean.

doesn't FFVII have a PSN release though?

FF VII does have a PSN release, anyway, but in context, it was just an example of a single-combined eboot made up of 4discs.
To be honest though, I kind of like the "custom" feel that PSX-PSP conversions have as opposed to the traditional PSN versions which
I feel sometimes have a very boring design. What might put it in perspective for you UltraMagnus is to consider how KOD's Parasite Eve 2
looks from the XMB, something like that perhaps?

What this man said.
Get an untouched ISO and run it through PSX2PSP.

You people are far too fast and beat me to the punch. Pretty much what they said. Also I'd try to find some PSX Eboot packages that already have good BG and Boot Images.

youtube is your friend when searching for decent eboot packs with a preview
