Android Bookmarks not showing in Chrome

Thought I'd ask around here given my iPhone is out of action ATM till I can send it for repairs I popped my sim in one of my other phones a android in this case.

My issue is this chrome the first time displayed all my bookmark and everything fine but after that it doesn't show any of them :/ any ideas as to what the problem could be

I'm on ics if that is of any help

Try going into settings>Accounts>google and uncheck and check to sync bookmarks.
