Hacking Boktai 3 on EZ Flash IV not loading

So I have an odd problem,
I'm trying to play Boktai 3 on my EZ IV, and no matter what I do it won't load the save file.

I know it saves (I copied the file and tested in an emulator) but it won't load the file when selecting it after reset.

Anyone else know of this problem?

Alright! I fixed the problem!

This is what I did:
1) SRAM Patch in gbata
2) English translation patch
3) Select button Solar Sensor patch (Prof. 9)
(note, steps 4+5 are optional)
4) Name entry patch
5) Menu graphics patch
6) Use the EZ4Client to copy it on, save type EEPROM, save size 128kbits

I hope this helps anyone else with similar problems.

didn't the soft reset patch mess with the solar patch, making the game not run or something.
