How do I use items in battle?

I can't heal mid fight it's so frustrating!
Does anyone know how to do it? what's the point of doing it after a fight, it heal by itself over time

Heal by using your shadow's heal. If you noticed the shop only really sells cookies which heal your mp.

Komodo is weak to fire , don't run up straight to him, use fire sword spell or something like that, leave the one with the bull to heal, run when they are dead waiting for them to come back alive

Thanks finally I got him by doing other quest around town and improving my items.

Might start playing this if I get bored of Monster Racers - just to check, every time I load it on AKAIO 1.6 with the crack I have to remember to hold X to fix the saving issue? What happens if I forget? Could I play for 2 hours then not be able to save, would it just not load my save in the first place or might it corrupt it?

It won't corrupt your save but it won't load it either. you must hold x in the loading stage ( the loading will turn red)
every time you start the game for it to work.

anyone can help me? AFter i lvl from lvl1 to 2 and after i press A to skip the page where they show ur stats has increase.. the game crashes and say could not read data pls reinsert the ds card...im using acekard2i with latest akio firmware

I'm getting my ass kicked by the blue dragon in that first door (nearest to the castle entrance). Is there anywhere to grind beside back down in that pit near the beach? Monsters there give so little exp. That blue dragon sure seems like a beast of a first monster/boss so early in the game. Damn, Demon's Souls didn't given me this much resistance.

i didnt killed the "door-bosses" during my playthrough at all, just stick to your quests and explore a little on the side

Sounds like a bad dump. What cart are you using and firmware? Give us more than, "It dont work". It doesnt work on CycloDS yet. You have to get the Venom patched version to work on CycloDS. I can confirm that this version does work on B.2 with CycloDS.

Meh, I just assumed it would work since I haven't had problems with any game since the J version of HG/SS.

We should have an update for the Beta line on the CycloDS this Friday if they stick to the schedule they have been.

Komodo? go do zola/jibral quest first, after you go up to level 8 (well grind on that labyrinth/underpass), equip fire weaponry/ fire magic
don't run straight up to him, go left or right first, when the Komodo is beating your teammates back stab it, ALOT the run use fire sword thing/flare
RUN while your team mate is dead, they will heal you when they woke up repeat this until komodo dies

he got three attack where you can backstab him, fire breath, that fluffy breath thing, and thunderball, roll a lot, treat this like an MH battle

Played it for a while with the cracked version on my CycloDS. Pretty fun game, and the music is good (but kinda low quality)
Is it just me or is the game choppy? I got used to it after a while, but it was a bit annoying in the beginning.
