In all seriousness, check all vents and airways are free of dust and/or try another power unit.

Its either overheating or your psu is faulty

I'd imagine it's the psu. I had an overheating wiiu a couple months ago, so I replaced the fan. it would turn on, but it would shut off, then the red light would be blinking. if you tried turning it back on, it would turn back on, but it would do the same thing again after about ten minutes. so far so good. it hasn't happened since. oh, the wiiu would be pretty hot on the right side, if it's standing up, when this would happen.

It is overheating and the fan is not spinning. How do I get it to spin?

And no, I cannot modify the hardware in any way because the repair company has sealed it with those seals that leave a permanent "VOID" mark.

then, what do you expect to happen? it to magically repair itself. the wiiu isn't even worth having a repair company look at it. I mean the system by itself is like $60.

The person I borrowed it from has paid $600 for it. $300 for a motherboard repair.

then, I don't know what to tell ya. however much money that is in your country.... I don't understand why a repair company would even put a seal on the system, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

not sure what to do then. you can't make the fan spin if the fan is nonfunctional. I guess that could make it overheat instantly, but I doubt it. I know that the 360 for example, known for heating problems, can turn on with the fan unhooked. it will usually overheat within 2-3 minutes rather than instantly if that's what's happening with your wiiu.

Well. I don't know if it's non-functional. My dad is trying to spin it with a toothpick and it won't move. Not sure if that is intended or something is blocking.

Nah. Are you dumb? Opening the "VOID" seals means losing repair warranty.
Well, if the thing is under warranty and the sticker keeps you from opening the console, I'd return it as warranty case to whoever put that sticker there. It doesn't come with one from Nintendo.

The one who let me borrow it doesn't wanna send it in for a third time.

First time - Broken motherboard - $300 charge for repair
Second time - Broken HDMI port - Free, under warranty

Sending it in or doing it yourself are your only options. The fan won't magically repair itself.

Maybe your friend should ask to get the money back.
