Was attempting to do the cr-3100 internal mod, and somehow managed to hoop my PSP

everything went fairly smoothly I thought, except when time came to power it up

1st time I powered it up, everything worked just fine

2nd time, backlight came on, then stayed on blackscreen forever, eventually shut itself off

and that's the state it's in now

removing the cr-3100 didn't change anything

guess I'll have to ebay it for part source, and pick up a new one this week

I'm shocked that you'd attempt to do that to your lovely GoW PSP all for the sake of either a bit more memory or cheaper sticks!

It's not technically bricked....there's now a hardware (probably mobo) issue.

nono, it's actually bricked

I was running custom firmware

went to increase from an 8gb MS to 32gb of SDHC cards

it worked fine when I just used the adapter externally

but it was big, clunky, and not all that stable

so following a good guide, I pulled the psp apart, sliced off a tiny bit of plastic on the case, and made the adapter internal
it worked great the first time, then not at all since

I've rechecked all the internal connections a dozen times, only thing I can think is that somewhere along the line, I fried a component
