I'm sorry your having problems please make sure nx theme installer is up to date.
I can however confirm 8.0 and 8.1 are tested and work with atmosphere I cannot speak for sx but i will look into that

Yes, it's up to date.
With old themes SX OS doesn't even start (crash) so I had to update installer, extract and then I can install other themes.
...but they have navigation broken at home menu so I thought your might be OK but it doesn't even get installed on SX OS with 8.0.1.
