Hardware black spot on touchscreen

so i assume this is a dead/stuck/whatever pixel? does anyone have any way of getting rid of these? all the results google gives me are for PC screens and can't be used on the 3ds browser.
 
Do you have a photo? It might just be dirt or dust. Although I'm sure it must happen fairly often, I've never actually seen a dead or stuck pixel on a 3DS myself, whereas it's not at all uncommon for a small bit of debris to get trapped in between the touch screen and the LCD. It's also common for bits of dirt or debris to get stuck on the backlight for the LCD, which can also end up looking similar to a dead pixel.

well i tried rubbing them out and made it worse/better depending how you look at it. instead of one spot its now a huge spot. but the huge spot is more dispersed and less noticeable. debating to keep rubbing or not.

edit: might be my imagination but they seem to be gradually going away.
