So forgive me if this is a common problem, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm trying to load a PAL backup using a USB loader on my NTSC system and I can't get it to work, it only loads a black screen and then nothing. I have the loader set to "autopatch". All of my NTSC backups work fine. Any tips/suggestions?

The game works on my PAL Wii.
Either your game/ISO is corrupted or you must try to force NTSC or try country fix (don't know how it works).
