Hacking black screen on pkm sun & super mario maker

hey guys,

I have a gateway 3ds and I have always had a bunch of roms. recently I loaded on the micro sd the .3ds files for both pokemon sun and super mario maker both obviously new games. Every other rom still works but when I try ether of these games they don't work . The icon for the game is there in the "game slot" then when I load it I get a black screen.. what am I missing here does gateway def have to be updated? or is it something with emu sys. I have no idea I am very rusty. someone help I am sure it is simple

(I don't know what gw or sys version I am running I can update post when I get home )

Its because gateway doesnt have newest NATIVE_FIRM

Thats the problem for Sun but not SMM3ds. The true problem is likely gateway doesn't work well with High Memory Mode games

Probably. On that iso site are .cias for them that work in gateway mode so install them and see.

its not gateways problem. they both work fine for me using roms on o3ds gateway
