Hacking Black screen after updating sd files

Updated from Hekate 5.1.1 to 5.1.2 and 9.4+15.2 of Atmosphere+Kosmos to 10.4+15.3 respectively. Used the sdsetup site to do so. Updated system firmware with choidujour from 9.0.1 to 9.2 on sysnand cfw.
Booting into sysnand cfw works, but getting black screen after initial Kosmos->Atmosphere splash when booting into emummc. Anyone know what's going on?

update: booting fusee-primary from lockpick-rcm successfully boots emummc ONLY when I dump keys, have to redo upon every boot
booting from hekate still fails to get past sept splash

update2: successfully updated emummc to 9.2 with choidujour, hekate still fails to boot emummc without original update workaround

update3: attempting to install nsp throws error:
Error: 2002-4518 (0x234C02)
Module: File system (2)
Description: Invalid NCA (might mean missing sigpatches or a too low firmware) (4518)

update4: redoing everything after copying the "Atmosphere patches for fusee-primary only" from Kosmos patches download page has everything functioning when booting via the workaround.

Any help to fix all this fuckery would be greatly appreciated
