Just open up IMGBurn, choose a burn speed (it's best to use the MAX speed on the disc), and burn the ISO. No need to delve deep into the settings.

+1 for ImgBurn. Dont have to play with any settings just install and burn iso (Except sometimes SSBB Dvd9)

I have never had to. I think Imgburn does that automatically if I recall correctly.

I'm jumping into this lol Bought a legal copy of animal crossing and I noticed it had the new update on it
So i backed it up and brick blocked it and now I'm attempting to burn it

People will argue that question until the end of time. I have never used anything but max or AUTO on imgburn and have never made a coaster.

(Until i fought with SSBB Dvd9 hehe)

i use sony dvd-r accucore at 6x speed and they work perfect b ut when i burn at 8x what is the maximum) it crashes so try auto

Imgburn. The slower write speed might still be beneficial for lower quality media. Really, burning at 2x or 4x takes hardly any time anyway. Test a higher speed with your current media, if you have problems, try burning it slower.

Also, the ONLY media that requires manual changing of the booktype is DVD+R/DVD-RW/DVD+RW, all of which should be avoided anyway in light of DVD-R's which are dirt cheap now.

as long as you use DVD-r for better compatibility and I don't know who said speed doesn't matter cause it does and the Ideal speed for burning video games backups is x4 for Wii Vs x2.4 for XboX360 so speed does matter indeed and best media type by far is Verbatim , not even an issue what so ever , good luck
