Hacking Best way to play NES games?

I searched and could not find an answer...maybe someone here can help me?

I have an R4DS and was wanting to play some NES games. I remember before they were 'squished' and not very playable, but I heard that with the 3 in 1 solution it would correct it. Can anyone point me in the direction of some answers?

I use nesDS as my emulator. I don't see any problems with it since all of the games run smoothly.

afaik, the 3in1 wont help you play NES any better than nesDS at all.

Well, it might, since there are a few games that run better in PocketNES than they do in NES DS, but that would squish the screen even more (unless you choose the unscaled mode).

I like it on my computer with a USB interface that connects to my old NES controller. Works great! Many good memories. Although the USB cables are pretty expensive.

(Edit) Otherwise: nesDS with default controls and settings are already great. Make sure you DLDI patch for Zelda!

Ditto to what he said. Have yet to have any problems with a game.

I have had several problems

. Games rarely run. I have to replace the pins
one day(there wrecked)

Pocketnes, especially Dwedits fork (maybe kuwangers as well) along with HVCA (which has a different scaling method which that a bit nicer along with more mappers) can certainly give nesDS a run for its money.
