Hacking Best way to pad 3-in-1 rumble?

I know that some people have padded their 3-in-1's to make their rumble more quiet. Is there any guide on the best way to do this and what material to use? I don't want to break the rumble of for it to overheat or something.

I would be interested in a solution too, the rumble is seriously scary on the 'high' setting.
