I have a glossy black slim 2011-02-xx. It has a lite-on DVD drive. What is the best way to hack it without losing XBL? DVD Drive PCB swap???

Dump the firmware of the drive with Jungleflasher and get yourself a Xkey.

It's the easiest thing to do without losing Live access.

if they're no longer available, you can burn the discs. remember: xbox originals require dual-layer as well.

I modded my original xbox. 128mb. 2tb. vga 480p/720p.
I never liked xbox original emulation on the 360, it was laggy.

Flash your DVD Drive or get a spare board and flash.

Either you cut trace or drill - kamikaze both are pretty easy.
