Which MAME Emulator is the best for FPS, Controls and Gameplay? Retroarch or SDL Mame Wii or what?

Pls help me /:

Retroarch has more compatible games, latest release run games at good speed, it's little tricky to remap buttons, and other options though.

Ive tried mame lately... and in really disappointed

I remember mame from the early 2000s... games used to run. There was a friendly interface.

Now you have to get 10 games for one to run. The interface is a disaster. And the Wii Mame keeps flickering the controls while i try to navigate the menus

Did you read the post linked just above yours? Seems not.

Anyways, due to small sized Wii RAM, cores have to be kept at a specific filesize, so FBA, NEO GEO, CPS1, CPS2 and MAME have to be separated. Not such a big deal as each can have its' own folder and runs many games (hundreds in FBA and MAME's case).

.P.S. Retroarch 1.2.2 has been known to have control issues. Use 1.0.2.
